Mission and Vision Statement

Our mission for CT Youth Advocacy (CTYA)  is to provide affordable housing and supportive care services to young adults transitioning out of the foster care system with the appropriate resources to successfully live independently. We provide a strong lifelong support system to ensure stability and security in a thriving environment. 

There are a plethora of challenges facing our youth in the foster care system. Our vision is to provide community-based housing, an opportunity for an enriched education, life skills, and employment for a brighter future.

The Transitional Housing Program-Plus (THP-Plus) is a county-certified, provider-based transitional housing placement for foster youth between the ages 18-24. The program provides a licensed supervised transitional housing and supportive services with a team of professionals.

• Our housing is located in a residential area comprised of single family homes;
• We have a strong and diverse group of staff and volunteers;
• The CTYA Travel Program for our young adults to experience traveling across the United States and Internationally.
• We have developed Life Skills Development curriculum  based on the specific needs of each young adult;
• Participate and volunteer in community based activities.
